CLIMATE AND NON-CLIMATE STORAGE: What’s the difference?

Climate-Controlled Storage is indoor storage kept at a consistent temperature between 65 and
80 degrees year-round by using air conditioning or heating, depending on the time of the year.
Besides the constant temperature, the removal of humidity from the air is what is valuable in storing certain items.
Items that benefit from climate-controlled storage include electronics, computers, furniture (especially antiques), and books.

Non-climate storage is best used for items that tolerate temperature swings similar to your garage.
Our floors have been sealed to minimize the dust.
We do recommend covering the items for long term storage to minimize dust.
A non-plastic covering is generally best to avoid moisture build up.

Many people will utilize a climate-controlled unit for specific items, and put the rest in a non-climate unit.
Call our experienced managers to find just the right unit for your needs.
